A Thank You... As this is our 22nd Year Anniversary here at the 4 + 2T (6T) Ranch, I would really like to thank all of our guests for their loyalty and for choosing us as their outfitter. We will strive to continue to give as "First Class" an experience as is possible. After 22 years, I would like to personally convey my heartfelt THANKS to our crew that make this camp what it is.
Karen (Kip) & Krista: Karen has taken over many aspects of our operation and made everything run smoother. Their enthusiasm and hospitality keep everyone smiling.
Aime Van Dreessche: Our head cook/guide. Aime is probably more a gourmet chef than a cook. His meals are unforgettable and are as much talked about as the big bull you took yesterday morning. Aime also takes all your meat to the processor for you.
Dale (The Chief) Selby: Dale has guided for us for many years and he and I have been friends and hunting buddies for a long time. Dale is also #1 in the world as a taxidermist. He took first place in the 2001 competition. He is a super bugler and we hope to have him on our team for years to come.
Ron Jenson: Ron is a successful guide and and asset to any outfit! He has been with us for 6 years.
Brian McFadden: Bri is our head guide and brings many years of experience to our operation. He would be a top hand in any outfit.
Greg Londos: Greg is a great guide and a pro rodeo rider. If it has hair - he will ride it!
Robert Vaugh: Robert is an excellent guide and has a super positive attitude. You will catch his enthusiasm.
Again, a huge THANKS to all of the above for making our hunts a
success. We hope that all of our repeat hunters and our new hunters enjoy the experience
we offer and hunt with us for many years in the future.
And last but not least, a little about myself and the beautiful country that we live and
hunt in...
I am 61 years old, 6' tall, 180 lbs. I have hunted all my life and shot my first buck when I was ten. I have been fortunate to take 80 some deer, elk, antelope, mountain goat, caribou, moose, bear, and 3 of the 4 North American wild sheep. After being on many guided hunts, and being disappointed in what was offered, I decided I knew what the hunter really wants in a hunting camp, personnel, and equipment. After looking at many ranches in early 1987, the property I purchased is in the best game country I could find.
4+2T Ranch... The ranch is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Hayden, CO. It is reached through a locked gate at the end of county maintenance, crosses an easement over a neighboring ranch, and climbs up on a bench. (Note: 4-wheel drive needed to reach the lodge.) At this point, we reach another locked gate where my land begins. The lodge is situated in an aspen grove at approximately 7850 ft. elevation. The top of Horse Mountain on my property is 9241 ft. I am surrounded on 3 sides with BLM and Routt National Forest ground. The nearest public access to the National Forest is approximately 4 miles away. We have permits for the Little Snake BLM and Routt National Forest.
